EQUIPMENT AND PRODUCTION LINE INSPECTION

CUSTOMERS:

State management agencies, enterprises, and traders importing machinery and equipment lines.

SUBJECTS OF INSPECTION:

Imported machinery, equipment, and technology lines, including components, spare parts, and replacement parts with HS codes under Chapters 84 and 85 as stipulated in the Vietnam Export–Import Goods Nomenclature.

LEGAL BASIS:

The Law on Commerce.

Pursuant to Decision No. 18/2019/QĐ-TTg dated April 19, 2019 of the Prime Minister on the import of used machinery, equipment, and technology lines; and Decision No. 28/2022/QĐ-TTg dated December 20, 2022 amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decision No. 18/2019/QĐ-TTg;

Pursuant to Decision No. 435/QĐ-BKHCN dated April 4, 2025 of the Minister of Science and Technology on assigning the Director General of the Department of Technology Evaluation and Appraisal to sign the Decision designating inspection organizations to conduct inspection of used machinery, equipment, and technology lines;

At the proposal of the Director General of the Department of Technology Evaluation and Appraisal.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR REQUESTING INSPECTION:

• Customers are required to submit:
• An inspection request clearly stating the inspection requirements, time and location of inspection, and contact person.
• Information on the shipment (Bill of Lading, packing list, customs declaration, invoice, manufacturer’s certificate, etc.).
